Support Staff
The main requirement is a loving heart and the willingness to lend a hand.
Our volunteer support staff often wear many hats, but will primarily be assisting our organization in areas that best suit their interests and capabilities. No previous experience is required, training will be provided. Volunteer staff must be at least 16 years old and anyone under the age of 18 will need written permission by a parent or guardian.
We need volunteer admission coordinators, adoption counselors, fundraising/event assistants, kennel assistants, animal walkers, receptionists, and more.
If you care about animals as we do, we would love to have you join our family.
Foster Care Program
Every animal fostered creates kennel space to save another life.
Shelter animals that receive fostering are positively impacted by the experience of a loving home environment which helps prepare them for adoption.
We need volunteers to provide a temporary home and care for animals that require individualized attention or may have special needs.
Primary Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possess valid identification (drivers license, military i.d., etc.).
- Current vaccination record for any household pets.
- Able to commit 3-6 months or more to a foster assignment.
Specialist Program
Promote professional skills or services while giving back to the community.
Our organization is often asked for guidance in locating resources such as animal trainers, reliable veterinary care, groomers, pet walkers and sitters, and more. It is easier to make those recommendations based upon our own personal experience with professionals who have demonstrated their skills volunteering within our organization.
Members of our specialist program can choose to volunteer their time and services at our shelter facility, during adoption and fundraising activities, or take part in special community events such as no or low-cost vaccination and spay/neuter projects.
If you or your organization have skills or services that could positively impact the lives of our shelter animals and the communities we serve, we would love to speak with you about joining our team of volunteer specialists.
